Every great kingdom has its gates. Every proud city has its defining landmark. Today, we are incredibly proud to unveil the design proposals for the Abakwa Toks Monument—a monumental gateway envisioned to stand proudly at the entrance of the Bamenda Highlands.
These stunning architectural concepts are more than just public art. They are visual declarations of our history, our resilience, and our unyielding identity. At the heart of every proposal is a single, defiant message: "CAM GOOD; ABAKWA BREATHES."

👑 Dressing the City in Royalty: The Atoghu Connection
Look closely at the striking black, gold, and yellow designs. These arches are architectural tributes to the Atoghu (Toghu), the sacred traditional regalia of the Bamenda Grassfields.
Historically, the Atoghu was a fabric reserved strictly for the Fon (king), royalty, and high-ranking titleholders. Today, it is a globally recognized symbol of Cameroonian pride.
