Njangi for Creatives: Building Bamenda's Creative Future, One Session at a Time

On July 19, we gathered in Bamenda for another powerful Njangi for Creatives session—united by a shared desire to grow ourselves, our crafts, and our cultural and creative industries. From seasoned veterans like Ankias Vallyman and JM of Africa to emerging voices in fashion, music, and spoken word, we shared ideas, strategies, and collective contributions, this time supporting cultural entrepreneur Bayong Ayma Che of Forest Music. Together, we're proving that when creatives come together with trust and purpose, we build not just careers, but an entire ecosystem.

The Call That Lit The Fire

For me, it was already an honor just to be asked. But when I realized that the organisers—Bafana Pro Entertainment, Abakwa TV, Abakwa Reggae Festival—had found me worthy to stand on the same stage with real Rastamen? That wasn't just a privilege. That was a blessing wrapped in lightning.

Blinded By Light

My walk with my mother to find a bike taxi, but every approaching rider is hidden behind blinding white halogen headlamps—leaving pedestrians helpless. This personal story becomes a urgent plea to riders and authorities: switch back to original lights before someone gets hurt.
